IMP Imperial Brands Weekly.

I was looking at buying this in a pension, but I believe it could be in trouble.

From my limited experience, it looks like it's broken it's weekly uptrend since 2009.

A close below 2900 looks ominous.



There is support at 2750.

Trendfriend, what do you think?

I'd like to think IMB is overdone with well over 30% fall from it's highs, it does seem to be at support levels, i.e trend lines, fibb levels, previous highs from january 2008, looked like a hammer formed on the daily on friday, it does pay over 6% dividend, does anyone with better charting think it's at supports??

looks like a h&s top imvho...next support is 2500 i think...

the weekly shows a main trendline break....and note how the 50 day ema line, and 200 day ema line crossover looks imminent....aka the death cross!!
indicative of longer term weakness imvho....if it happens....

i'm not sure why yo want to be long her tbh...never buy a share for only the divi...as it's never guarenteed, always make sure the technical setup looks right before buying....

if you are a big fan here, wait for higher high(1,2,3 low before going long....

i have to say your chart does a look like a bottom maybe forming.
Mine looks a lot more bearish.....maybe my charts incorrect.....or i have turned into a bear.....tbh i'am very much a bull, always looking for longs.....because i only trade long on stocks.....just don't see this as bullish atm...

to me that looks a bear flag breakdown.....worse gap down!! second time it's happened here recently...we do have a small bullish div on the daily rsi.....but this cannot be used in isolation to go long...

see the 50 day ema and 200 day ema crossing over??? that is suggestive of mid to longer term bear phase on this stock imvho.....

lets see, need higher high or break of the 20 day ema line on the daily befroe going long.....nothing bullish about a stock that cannot eevne climb above teh 20 day ema line!!
